I attended Tetbury Hospital on 11-August 2023 for a double laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair performed by Mr McIlroy. Now one week after surgery I feel that the operation was a success. Pain relief was easy - just paracetamol and ibuprofen for 3-4 days. The highlight of my 6 hours in hospital was the wonderful care from nurse Hannah who dealt with my recovery and discharge. Such a lovely person.

Two weeks ago I had a cataract replacement operation in the outpatient unit at Tetbury hospital.
Having arrived early I was immediately taken into pre-op where the procedure was explained fully by friendly and utterly professional staff.
During the operation I was kept fully informed as to what was happening.
The after-care brief was thorough and well delivered.
Within an hour of arriving I was carefully ushered out to my wife ready for the return home.
The improvement in vision is astounding, more than I dared to hope for, and I cannot thank the staff at Tetbury enough for their professionalism, care and kindness during my time with them.

I had day surgery on my leg on 11/8/23 , from the minute I walked in I felt comfortable , relaxed and at ease . The nurses were amazing and explained everything to me , the anaesthetists were incredibly friendly , helpful and professional . The whole experience was a good one and I felt very privileged to have my operation at Tetbury .

Arrived 15 minutes early was taken straight in to theatre where the staff were very polite and attentive.
The doctor explained all about the operation

This is an amazing hospital, so calm and friendly. The staff who dealt with me for cataract surgery were amazing. Made me feel welcome and treated me with respect.
I cannot praise them enough . Thank you.

Easy free on site parking
Easy access on ground floor (single storey building)
Pleasant helpful staff at all stages
Cataract surgery I waited 12 weeks from date I saw consultant
Arrived for 9.30 appointment, was seen 5 minutes early short wait and operation took approx 20 mins. I was discharged at 11am after operation and post op procedures. So overall I was in the hospital for 90 minutes only.
patients are given appointments on a 30 minute basis so the waiting room never seems busy and no one seems to wait very long before being attended to.
